Account & Data Deletion

At KSTDC (Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation), we value your privacy and provide you with full control over your personal data. If you no longer wish to use the KSTDC Mobile App, you can request the deletion of your account and associated data.

How to Request Account Deletion

You can initiate an account deletion request through either of the following methods:

Method 1: In-App (Recommended)

  1. Open the KSTDC App and log in.
  2. Go to the Profile or Settings section.
  3. Tap on “Delete Account.”
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your request.

Method 2: Via Email Support

If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot access it, please send an email from your registered email address:

  • To: [email protected]
  • Subject: Account Deletion Request – [Your Mobile Number]
  • Message: “Please delete my KSTDC app account and all associated personal data. My registered mobile number is +91-XXXXXXXXXX.”

What Data Will Be Deleted?

Upon successful verification of your request, the following information will be permanently removed from our active user database:

  • Profile Information: Your Name, Email Address, Gender, and Age.
  • Authentication Data: Your mobile number and login credentials.
  • Co-traveler Information: Any names, ages, or genders of co-travelers saved in your profile.
  • Personal Identifiers: Any optional Government ID numbers stored during previous bookings.

Data Retention Policy

Please note that while your personal profile is deleted, KSTDC is legally required to retain certain information for auditing, tax, and regulatory purposes as per Government of Karnataka guidelines. This includes:

  • Transaction Records: Details of completed payments and hotel/tour bookings.
  • Financial History: Invoices and booking vouchers generated in your name.

Note: This retained data will no longer be used for marketing or active profile management.

Processing Time

Once a request is received via email, our team will verify the details and process the deletion within 7 to 10 business days. You will receive a final confirmation email once the process is complete.
